NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORARY – Print design

We’ve design a printed publication for Nottingham Contemporary to promote an off site show at Lord Byrons home Newstead Abbey. Byron is considered to be the first modern celebrity, so we developed a publication to promote the show that combined the look and feel of an 18th century document and a modern style magazine.

NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORARY, LACE & SLAVERY EXHIBITION – Print

We designed a fold down programme for ‘Lace & Slavery in Nottingham’, a series of events, a symposium and exhibition. The first major collection of events in Nottingham Contemporary’s pre-opening programme. The design references colour and typesetting styles from the Georgian period and a genuine advertisement from the early 19th century advertising slaves for sale.

The piece opens out to become a full colour A2 poster featuring a work by artist Godfried Donkor.
